The implementation of the deformation thermocyclic treatment with the gradual decrease in the heating and rolling temperatures and subsequent cooling of the blank in water followed by tempering at 550 ℃ was an effective way to refine the microstructure and obtain high both ultimate tensile strength of up to 900 MPa and impact toughness without brittle fracture down to the test temperature of -70 ℃.

1. The presence of a PLGA layer on a MAO coating led to a substantial enhancement in adhesive strength, with an increase of approximately 2 times and increase in microhardness by 1.2 times.
2. The corrosion resistance of MAO-PLGA increased because corrosion current density decreased to 1.40×10-7 A/cm2 and polarization resistance increased to 4.51×105 Ω∙cm2.

Based on the results of tests for three-point bending, the dependences σ-ε were constructed for samples CrMnFeCoNiZr alloy in the initial state (as-cast) and after HPT. The samples in their initial state exhibit typical plastic behavior even with deformations of more than 10%. HPT processing of samples leads to brittle-plastic behavior of the material.

This paper presents a method for determining elastic constants — the elastic modulus and Poisson's ratio of 3D-printed materials using uniaxial tension test on rectangular cross-section samples. It is proposed to conduct longitudinal and transversal strain measurements on the surface of the samples using fiber-optic sensors based on fiber Bragg gratings, which offer comparable accuracy to standard electrical strain gages while providing advantages such as reduced size, simplified preparation, and minimal equipment requirements

Mechanical properties, corrosion resistance and biocompatibility in vitro of pure Zn processed by high pressure torsion (HPT) were studied. Grain refinement and texture changes caused by HPT increase strength and ductility. HPT does not worsen the RBC hemolysis and ML viability of pure Zn.
