The morphological features of the structures of the adsorbed substance on the surface of freshly cleaved mica in contact with the three-component water-surfactant-oil system were studied using atomic force microscopy. The mechanism of adsorption of anionic surfactants on the mica surface in the presence of cations in solution has been confirmed.

Mechanical properties, corrosion resistance and biocompatibility in vitro of pure Zn processed by high pressure torsion (HPT) were studied. Grain refinement and texture changes caused by HPT increase strength and ductility. HPT does not worsen the RBC hemolysis and ML viability of pure Zn. HPT insignificantly increases the degradation rate.

It has been established that the localization of crystalline LaB6 nanoparticles determines the work function of the hybrid carbon nanomaterial single-walled nanotubes/graphene. As the mass fraction of LaB6 nanoparticles increases, the work function decreases.

1. A theoretical study of new autointercalated carbon compounds formed from hexagonal graphyne layers has been performed.
2. The most stable nanostructured materials should be composed of autointercalated alpha-graphyne-1.
3. A porous orthorombic three-dimensional phase can be obtained on the basis of alpha-graphyne-1.

Crystallographic texture is an important characteristic of all anisotropic polycrystalline materials. The formation of recrystallization texture in Russian zirconium alloys is analyzed using Debye rings obtained by shooting with a synchrotron beam, the traditional X-ray method, and backscattered electron diffraction.

The Ti-50.8 at.% Ni (TiNi) medical alloy wire samples with bioinert PVD-coatings of different compositions were studied. The elastic-force characteristics (phase yield strength σM, mechanical hysteresis value ΔH, residual deformation εres, and unloading plateau stress σc) of TiNi have been studied based on the stress-strain curves obtained at different temperatures (5°С, 19°С, 37°С, and 60°С).

In niobium filaments of the Cu-7.7%Nb composite under cold-drawing beginning from the true strain of 8.5, macrostrains are observed according to the X-ray data, which is confirmed by TEM data, which demonstrate distortions of niobium lattice and formation of partially coherent boundaries (110)Nb || (111)Cu. These macrostrains are anisotropic and higher than those in the Cu-18%Nb composites.
