This review is focused on the recent progress on the relationship between nitrogen-assisted hardening mechanisms and mechanical properties of the CoCrFeMnNi-N family alloys. The basic physical problems, including fabrication of the nitrogen-alloys Cantor alloy, solubility of N in CoCrFeMnNi system, as well as the influence of nitrogen alloying on strength properties of the CoCrFeMnNi-N alloys have been discussed.

Microadditions of yttrium has resulted in a decrease in the average grain size of low-activation austenitic steel. The decrease in the efficiency of dispersion strengthening by carbide particles has led to a slight decrease in the strength properties of the new steel. MC particles are containing Ti, V, Ta and W surrounding Y kernel.

This paper presents a method for determining elastic constants — the elastic modulus and Poisson's ratio of 3D-printed materials using uniaxial tension test on rectangular cross-section samples. It is proposed to conduct longitudinal and transversal strain measurements on the surface of the samples using fiber-optic sensors based on fiber Bragg gratings, which offer comparable accuracy to standard electrical strain gages while providing advantages such as reduced size, simplified preparation, and minimal equipment requirements

Based on the results of tests for three-point bending, the dependences σ-ε were constructed for samples CrMnFeCoNiZr alloy in the initial state (as-cast) and after HPT. The samples in their initial state exhibit typical plastic behavior even with deformations of more than 10%. HPT processing of samples leads to brittle-plastic behavior of the material.

The abrasive wear rate of PEO coating with graphene nanoparticles is 15-16% lower than that of PEO coating without additives. The micro-Raman spectra for the following hard layer indicate a significant disorder of graphene particles, a decrease in their size and the formation of SiC and carbon nanotubes inclusions.
