Shows the effect of friction force on energy-power parameters and deformation before fracture under lug billet in strips of aluminum alloy Al-31. The effect of fragmentation on the degree of deformation strain before breaking down and the voltage drawn under different conditions of friction between the workpiece and the cutting tool.

At the same value of strength or ductility of CG and UFG steels, steels with UFG structure (dark points) have the same or greater corrosion resistance as compared to steels with a CG structure (light points). Circular points – steel 9MnSi5, square points – C10, triangular points – C45.

The results of a study of the properties of ZnO films doped with Al from 1 to 5 % at., obtained by ion beam sputtering are presented. The films have high transparency (70-90 %) in the visible range of the spectrum and have high electrical conductivity.

The paper presents results of studying the deformation of Grade 5 alloy samples while they are heated to temperatures ranging between 900 and 1350 K at constant tensile stresses of 4.45; 6.91 and 9.36 MPa in air and argon environments. The processing of the results has allowed us to evaluate the empirical coefficients for the Grade 5 alloy in two dependences obtained earlier for the Ti-5Al and Grade 2 alloys. One dependence relates creep rate to heating temperature, tensile stress, and creep activation energy; the other one relates creep deformation onset temperature (residual creep deformation within 1 hour of holding is 0.2%) to the conventional short-term creep limit.

Luders deformation in ultrafine low-carbon microalloyed X80 steel has been studied upon tensile testing by digital image correlation technique. Two mechanisms of Luders deformation are shown to be observed depending on the strain ageing effect.
