Abstract

In the paper hexagonal auxetics are analyzed. The necessary and sufficient conditions are obtained for the detection of hexagonal auxetics and auxetics on average over all transverse directions. Also, necessary and sufficient conditions are obtained for the triclinic crystals with average Poisson's ratio when averaged over transverse directions. Necessary conditions are given for some special orientations. Eleven crystals with average negative Pois-son's ratio are revealed if all three angles of orientation are averaged.
