Abstract

The work presents structural studies of polycrystalline Ni2,08Mn0,96Ga0,96 alloy produced by arc melting method in argon atmosphere. Analysis of the high temperature phase crystallographic structure reveals the presence of growth texture (110)<110> type. Investigations of twin structure of low temperature phase shown that martensitic transformation leads to formation of dominating twin orientation that results in stepwise sample length change.
