Abstract
The effects of short electric pulses (~100μs) with the current density of ~ 104 A/mm2 on the structure of a pre-deformed magnesium alloy ZK60 were investigated. It is shown that powerful electric pulse treatment (PEPT) provides processing uniform fine-grained structure with ~2 μm grains.
