Abstract

The new approach for processing of ultrafine-grained aluminum composites using ion-plasma sputtering followed by severe plastic deformation has been suggested. Microstructure of composites was studied by transmission electron microscopy and X-ray diffraction. Mechanical properties and electrical conductivity were estimated in comparison with the samples subjected to standard treatment.
