Severe plastic deformation (SPD) by high pressure tor-sion (HPT) influence on structure and properties of 12-18 corrosion-resistant steel is investigated in this paper. SPD research take place at two temperatures: room temperature and 400 ºС.
There are deformation nonuniformity, intensive struc-ture refinement, ultra fine grain (UFG) structure and the strain-induced martensite formation are established after SPD at the both of HPT temperature.
The most intensive steel structure refinement was obtained at the deformation temperature 400 ºС, and largest microhardness - at the room deformation temperature.
