The degradation processes occurring in massive inclusions of the chromium-nickel cast iron carbide phase during deformation at high temperatures (400-600 ºС) are studied. The effect of the local deformations on easy slip of dislocations is considered. We also demonstrate that during the dislocation slip, the new phases appear and the energy dissipates.

The value and relationship between the degree of elastic anisotropy and the Poisson's ratio of Ti-Ni alloy crystals are analyzed on the basis of our own and literature data obtained experimentally and computationally from the first principles. The elastic anisotropy of Ti-Ni crystals can be determined based on numerical differences in the extreme values of μ as Aµ = / µmax - µmin|/<μ>. A strong correlation was established between the elastic anisotropy coefficient A and the factor Aµ (the correlation coefficient 0.9871).

The influence of the annealing atmosphere on the electrical conductivity and thermo-EMF of strontium orthocuprate (Sr2CuO3) at temperatures up to 150°C has been investigated. It was shown that during heat treatment in hydrogen or in an atmosphere saturated with water vapor at temperatures above 70°C ionic current carriers appear in Sr2CuO3.

The dependences of the critical value of the disclinations dipole strength on the mesodefect length obtained at various values of the strength of the planar mesodefect are shown. The regions of parameters for which stable cracks can exist for each of the given values of the strength of the planar mesodefect lie above the corresponding curves.

Based on the obtained experimental data a physically motivated model is formulated for the ferritic transformation with allowance for the effects of deformation and concurrent recovery of austenite. The model is first to evaluate variation of nucleation barriers owing to the hydrostatic component of internal stresses at austenite grain boundaries.

Spatially localized breather excitations are investigated for the model of a discrete Heisenberg spin chain, which includes an antisymmetric exchange interaction and single-ion anisotropy of the easy-plane type. Taking into account the antisymmetric exchange leads to the excitation of only antisymmetric magnetic discrete breathers.
